The airline announced on May 1, 2015 that it will commence service to Boston, Atlanta and Los Angeles on March 16, July 1 and January 1, 2016 respectively. Once launched Qatar will offer service to all of the 10 most populous metropolitan ares in the US. The countries with the largest number of airports served by Qatar Airways are India with 12, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United States with 7 each and China with 6.
